DAY 1
ROME: Upon arrival at Rome Airport, delegates will be transferred to the baggage collection. Transfer to hotel. Arrival at the hotel for check-in. ZefiroWorld staff will be located in the foyer of the hotel to assist delegates with tour and local area information. Delegates will meet at the hotel for a welcome to Rome Cocktail Party. Casual attire acceptable (not too casual). Remainder of the evening at own leisure. For the first timers in Rome, may we suggest, following the Cocktail Party, an evening stroll along the Tiber River to Trastevere, where you will find a wide variety of restaurants and trattorias.
DAY 2
ROME: Complementary full buffet breakfast will be served at the hotel. Following breakfast, delegates will board their designated coaches for today's tour of the Ancient City of Rome. The tour will include such famous landmarks as the Colosseum, Roman Forum, Piazza Venezia, Trevi Fountain and the Vatican City. At approximately noon, there will be a lunch break around the Trevi Fountain area. During this 90-minute break, delegates will be able to wander this pleasant retail area and take in lunch from one of a number of the small cafes and restaurants that abound in the area. Today's lunch arrangements are at delegates discretion. At the conclusion of lunch, delegates will take a short walk from the Trevi Fountain area to the waiting coaches for the continuation of the tour to the Vatican City. Delegates return to the hotel. Remainder of the afternoon and evening at leisure. Optional Happy Hour at the hotel. Delegates may wish to use their free time exploring some of the many city cafes and sampling the authentic Italian cuisine. Remember that the given list of restaurants and eating establishments may be handy tonight. For those delegates looking for a recommendation for this evening, another enjoyable walk would be to the Piazza del Popolo, an architect's delight. Travel tip: The ladies will be happy to know that the shops in Rome are open until 7.30 pm.
DAY 3
ROME- CASTELLI ROMANI: Complimentary full buffet breakfast will be served at the hotel. Following breakfast, the delegates will board their designated coaches for today's Winery Tour of Cantina Cerquetta, famous for it's Frascati wines. Cantina Cerquetta has arranged an exclusive wine tasting for the delegation. The Frascati region is internationally renowned for its dry white wines. The Frascati DOC appellation wine is made from the Trebbiano Grape Variety. At the conclusion of the winery tour, delegates will return to the hotel, with the rest of the afternoon at leisure. Optional Happy Hour at the hotel. Delegates will board their designated coaches for the transfer to the beautiful Villa Umbertina for our Gala Dinner. This magnificent villa, nestled high in the hills of Rome overlooks this stunning City, just the perfect location with an ambience of stylish dining complemented with great company. Villa was the stately home of a prominent Roman family. Tonight's dress: elegant. Tonight's program consists of a wine sampling from a variety of regions followed by a splendid dinner. The view of Rome from this venue is spectacular. Delegates will board their coaches for the return trip to the hotel.
DAY 4
AREZZO-FLORENCE: Complimentary full buffet breakfast will be served at the hotel. Following breakfast, delegates will board their designated coaches for the journey to Florence. The Trip to Florence by coach takes just 2.5 hours, however for members' comfort and enjoyment, a break in the journey to visit the wonderful old town of Arezzo has been arranged. Arezzo, a walled city, is one of Italy's best-kept historical centers and the home of many of the country's silversmith craftsmen and should be of great interest to the ladies. Today's lunch arrangements are at delegates' discretion and you may wish to consider one of Arezzo's many traditional cafes and trattorias. In the evening, Delegates arrival in Florence, situated on the bank of the Arno River, where an express chek-in service has been pre-arranged for the convenience of the delegates. With the rest of the day designated as free time, may we suggest a walk along the Arno River to the Ponte Vecchio for an afternoon of strolling and browsing. Optional Happy Hour at the hotel. Tonight's dining arrangements are at delegates' discretion and you may wish to consider one of the recommended restaurants.
DAY 5
FLORENCE- St GIMIGNANO-PISA- FLORENCE: Complimentary full buffet breakfast will be served at the hotel. Delegates will board their designated coaches for today's tour of the medieval city of San Gimignano and the Leaning Tower of Pisa. San Gimignano is a UNESCO protected town of great historical significance. Today's lunch arrangements are at delegates' discretion and you should take the opportunity to have lunch at one of the town's cafes or restaurants. Following our visit to San Gimignano, delegates will re-board their designated coaches for the 1-hour journey to the city of Pisa and a visit to its world-known tower. After many years of structural repair work and foundation underpinning, the Tower is once again open for the enjoyment of visitors. TRAVEL TIPS: While in Pisa , delegates may take the opportunity to purchase affordable souvenirs as a reminder of your trip to this magnificent country. Delegates will board their designated coaches for the return journey to Florence. Delegates arrive at the hotel. Optional Happy Hour at the hotel. Tuscan Dinner. Tonight will provide an opportunity to enjoy a meal based on the typical Tuscan cuisine.
DAY 6
SIENA AND CASTELLO DI GABBIANA IN CHIANTI: Complimentary full buffet breakfast will be served at the hotel. Delegates will board their designated coaches for today's tour of Siena , the true heart of Tuscany. Arrival in Siena. This city is famous for its death defying horse races carried out in the town square. It is also renewed for its wine and food. TRAVEL TIPS: Also a wonderful shopping destination. Delegates may wish to take the opportunity whilst in Siena to enjoy a morning tea at one of the many little cafes and trattorias spread throughout Siena. Delegates will re-board their designated coaches for part 2 of today's tour, goingo to Castello di Gabbiano, situated on 173-acres of vineyards and olive groves, a typical Tuscan vista of beauty. This facility is the origin for one of Italy's finest Chiantis, Castel de Gabbiano. Arrival in Castel di Gabbiano. At the conclusion of our visit to Castel di Gabbiano, delegates will re-board their designated coaches for the short journey to the Il Caratello Restaurant, where a sumptuous complimentary lunch awaits the delegation. Following lunch, delegates will board their designated coaches for the journey back to the hotel. Arrival at the hotel. Optional Happy Hour at the hotel Bar. This evening has been designated as a free evening for delegates to further explore this wonderful city and dine at a restaurant of their choice.
DAY 7
FLORENCE: Complimentary full buffet breakfast will be served at the hotel. Following breakfast , today's planned tour of the city includes a visit to the Statue of David and a walking tour to points of interest around Florence. At the conclusion of the tour, delegates will find themselves in the city center, where you will be free to explore further at your own leisure. Optional Happy Hour at the hotel bar. Delegates will be transferred by coach to the spectacular Villa Firenze for our traditional Gala Dinner Party. Tonight the delegates will experience an unforgettable evening, starting with the opportunity to sample some of the many wines from the region and then moving on to a banquet of regional cuisine and entertainment, a venue that is rich in history and tradition. Tonight gentleman are expected to wear jacked and tie and ladies glamorous.
DAY 8
FLORENCE- GUBBIO-ROME: Complimentary full buffet breakfast will be served at the hotel. Delegates to board their designated coaches for the return journey to Rome Airport. On the return journey to Rome Airport, a stopover at the ancient city of Gubbio has been scheduled. Arrival in Gubbio. Delegates will enjoy the opportunity to have a leisurely stroll, afternoon tea and a final look at the wonders of this history rich country. Delegates to re-board their coaches for the final leg of the journey to Rome Airport.
