Rome, Roman Castles
DAY 1 ARRIVAL: Arrival at Rome airport. Transfer by GT motor coach to Villa on Roman Castles, wonderful green area just outside Rome, where you can enjoy a beautiful panorama from its hills and taste its typical and genuine cuisine. Check-in in the villa, dinner and overnight stay. OLIVE PICKING DAY: Breakfast. Full day dedicated to the olive picking. You will work in team and experts will drive you through the picking, explaining the ancient and traditional methods used by Roman countrymen. You will work in a big park with 400-year-old olive groves, which every year produce approx. 1000 litres of an excellent extra virgin olive oil. At the end of the picking, free time to rest and relax, enjoying the beautiful view over the Roman valley from the terrace of the villa. Dinner and overnight stay. ROMAN CASTLES: After breakfast, departure to visit the most characteristic places of the Castelli Romani. Along the Road of the Lakes passing through one of the hilly areas of volcanic origin which characterize the outskirts of Roma: Colli Albani, Castelgandolfo, Ariccia, Rocca di Papa e Grottaferrata, noted for their culture and gastronomic delicacies. Towards the northerly part of the Colli Albani, we arrive in Frascati, popular both for its beauty and considerable production of wine. Stop in a typical wine cellar where you can taste the local wine and cuisine. Return to the Villa, dinner and overnight stay. ROME: After breakfast, departure to visit the Eternal city, built on seven hills, one of the big metropolis in the world: Rome. In the morning, guided visit of the Ancient Rome, including: Colosseum, Roman Forum, Palatine Hill, Fori Imperiali, piazza Venezia. Lunch on your own. In the afternoon, your stroll continues through Via del Corso visiting other highlights of the city: Pantheon, piazza Navona, Fontana di Trevi, piazza di Spagna and piazza del Popolo. At the end, free time for shopping and return to the Villa. This night is special for you: ZefiroWorld has prepared for you a special Farewell dinner with extra virgin oil olive tasting, served on local focaccia bread, on bruschetta bread and together with local cheese and salami, Frascati red and white wine. Overnight stay. DEPARTURE or extension tour: Breakfast. Transfer to Rome airport for your flight home or extension tour.
