Day 1
Arrival
Arrival at Naples and transfer to the hotel. Dinner at the hotel and overnight stay.

The Magic of Naples
After breakfast, sightseeing tour by bus from the hill of Posillipo to the seafront, arriving at Piazza del Plebiscito.
From here, walk to the main monuments of the city, including the Royal Palace and San Carlo Theatre; then a stop to sample the delicious Neapolitan sfogliatelle (flaky pastry cakes) at Bar Gambrinus. Shopping along the Corso, return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

Pompeii - Where Time Has Stopped
Breakfast at the hotel and brief bus tour of Naples before heading for the excavations of Pompeii and a guided tour of the Roman city buried in ash after the eruption of the Vesuvius, in 79 A.D.. Lunch at the restaurant in the archaeological area then return to Naples to visit the zoological centre and Aquarium. Dinner at the hotel and overnight stay.

Between Ischia Ponte and Ischia Porto
After breakfast, boat trip to Ischia and arrival at the hotel. Visit to the Aragonese Castle in the ancient sea-town of Ischia Ponte. Return to the hotel for lunch, then afternoon free for shopping. Dinner at a typical restaurant. Return to the hotel and overnight stay.

Ancient Pithecusae and Modern Ischia
After breakfast, visit to the Archaeological Museum at Villa Arbusto which houses important remains of the settlement of Pithecusae founded by the Greeks in 770 B.C.. Here we will visit the renowned gardens of La Mortella, landscaped by the
masterly Russel Page and containing over 300 rare species of plant. Dinner at the hotel and overnight stay.

The Island of Capri
After breakfast, departure by boat for Capri and transfer to Anacapri to visit Villa San Michele. Return to Capri and visit
to the Gardens of Augustus. Sea and weather permitting, we will also visit the Blue Grotto. Free time for shopping then return to Ischia for dinner at the restaurant Alla Riva Destra. Return to the hotel and overnight stay.

The Enchanting Amalfi Coast
After breakfast, departure for Sorrento, Positano, the ancient Maritime Republic of Amalfi, ending with a visit to Ravello
and the famous Villa Rufolo. Arrival at the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

The Reggia at Caserta and the Abbey of Montecassino
After breakfast, departure for Caserta to admire the Reggia and its magnificent park. On the route back to Rome we will stop off at Cassino to visit the Abbey, which was heavily bombed during the war and then completely rebuilt in the original style. Departure as planned.
