Day 1
The Castelcivita Caves
Arrival at the Agropoli-Castellabate station and visit to the Castelcivita Caves, inhabited since the Neolithic period, with impressive specimens of stalactites and stalagmites. Check-in at hotel in Laurino, dinner, and overnight stay.

The “Grava di Vesalo”
After breakfast, from Laurino we reach the Valle Soprana, following the path along the River Calore. Here is the “Grava di Vesalo”, a deep karst chasm into which the Milenzio torrent flows. Return to hotel, dinner, and overnight stay. 5_-hr walk,

From Sacco to Roscigno Vecchio
After breakfast, from the town of Sacco, in the gorge with the source of the Sammaro torrent, we reach Roscigno Vecchio, an old abandoned village that is the symbol of Cilento, a sort of museum of rural civilization. Return to hotel, dinner, and

The Calore Gorges
After breakfast, excursion into the gorges of the River Calore, between calcareous walls that form “sculptures” such as the
“giants’ kettles”. Below the town of Magliano Nuovo, the gorge opens to a hump-back medieval bridge. 2_-hr walk, average difficulty

The Mystery of “Antece” and the Cave of San Michele
After breakfast, using a path through the Alburni mountains, we will reach a site used by man since prehistoric times: here stands the enigmatic stone sculpture called Antece, the remains of a holy place of the ancient populations of Lucania. We continue to the cave of San Michele, an ancient rupestrine church, and transfer to Agropoli on the Gulf of Salerno. 3-hr walk, average difficulty

Agropoli and Punta Tresino
After breakfast, from the town of Agropoli the panoramic road along the Gulf of Salerno leads to the Bay of Trentova, where
the dirt path leading to Punta Tresino begins. A circular itinerary offers a view of the Mediterranean brush, the lovely panorama of the Cilento coast, and the abandoned village of San Giovanni. 7-hr walk, average-low difficulty

Paestum
After breakfast, visit to the archaeological area of Paestum, the most impressive architectural complex of Magna Grecia. In addition, a visit to the National Museum, featuring the well-known “Tomb of the Diver”, and the early Christian basilica. Transfer to the Agropoli-Castellabate station and return as planned.
