An original coast-to-coast trip within the parks of Etna and the Nebrodi, pedalling along less-trodden paths to discover the lunar niches of the volcanic landscape, discover new views of the Aeolian Islands, breathe in dense beech woods, and ride amidst steep basalts.
Day 1
We Start Warming Up on Etna
Arrival at Catania airport, transfer to the Piano Provenzana shelter (1840 m) on Etna. Possible short excursion to the central craters of Etna in a 4x4 van.

From Piano Provenzana to Trappitello
From Piano Provenzana, descent towards the town of Trappitello, along a very panoramic road by the side of which the towns of Linguaglossa and Castiglione di Sicilia, rich with traditions and historic sites of considerable interest, are encountered. We will also cross the old Etna railroad and the Alcantara river. Average-to-easy route of 44 km, of which 18 km are on asphalt and 26 km are on dirt paths.

In the Gorges of Alcantara to the Lovely Randazzo
We cross the towns of Gaggi, Francavilla di Sicilia, and Moio Alcantara, until we arrive at Randazzo, an important Etnean
centre founded by the Byzantines, chosen by Frederick II of Aragon as his summer abode, full of churches, museums, and aristocratic buildings. During the trip there will be the possibility to visit the Gorges of the Alcantara, suggestive basaltic cliffs carved out by the river. Easy route: about 39 km.

Totally Green
A route of average difficulty in an interesting natural environment between the Park of Etna and that of the Nebrodi, amidst
uncontaminated woods and clearings. Route of about 30 km, of which 9 km are on asphalt and 21 km are on dirt paths, average difficulty.

The Passage from Etna to the Nebrodi 
An itinerary that marks the passage from the zone of the Park of Etna to that of the Park of the Nebrodi, through beech
woods and oak groves, with the possibility of tasting typical local products (cheese, sweets, biscuits, wines, etc.). Route: 33 km on asphalt with a gentle uphill slope, average difficulty.

The Ridge from Etna to the Nebrodi
Crossing of the Monti Nebrodi ridge, with passage from the central zone of Sicily to the Tyrrhenian side, arriving as far as the sea. There will be the possibility to visit, with a short variant of about 8 km of dirt paths, the Lago del Biviere, of
great natural value since it is the destination of migratory avifauna. Total route: about 55 km, of which 18 km are uphill and 37 km are downhill; difficulty: average to easy.

Riding Along the Seacoast
One of the loveliest roads in Sicily, we ride along the seacoast and pass through the locality of Tindari, with its important archaeological area of Tyndaris, founded in the 5th century B.C. by the Dorians. Total route: about 70 km on asphalt, low difficulty.

Transfer in the morning to Catania airport.
